چکیده

The interactions between hydrogen, dislocations and vacancies that lead to the hydrogen embrittlement of iron-based materials have remained largely unknown with major impediments for development infrastructure transport storage. Recent studies hydrogen-induced lattice defects formed in pure iron common austenitic stainless steels by positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy provided a breakthrough understanding controlling factors process. In this review, main results those are summarized discussed together current knowledge hydrogen-related defects. formation vacancy-hydrogen complexes coupled plastic strain localization which is large enough hydrogen-enhanced vacancy clustering during deformation appears be likely factor triggers bcc(α-) fcc(γ)-iron.

Hydrogen-related defects in bulk ZnO

Zinc oxide (ZnO) has attracted resurgent interest as an active material for energy-efficient lighting applications. An optically transparent crystal, ZnO emits light in the blue-to-UV region of the spectrum. The efficiency of the emission is higher than more “conventional” materials such as GaN, making ZnO a strong candidate for solid-state white lighting. Despite its advantages, however, ZnO s...

the effectiveness of strategy-based instruction in teaching english as a second or foreign language: a meta-analysis of experimental studies

a large number of single research studies on the effects of strategy-based instruction (sbi) in teaching english as a foreign or second language has been conducted so far. however, the lack of a comprehensive meta-analysis targeting the effectiveness of english language sbi is observed. moreover, the findings of experimental studies regarding the context of the english language, proficiency lev...

Infrared absorption of hydrogen-related defects in strontium titanate

Hydrogen has a significant impact on the structural and electronic properties of metals, insulators, and semiconductors. Despite the prevalence of hydrogen, little is known about its behavior in oxides such as strontium titanate (SrTiO3). In this work, hydrogen-related defects in SrTiO3 were investigated using infrared absorption spectroscopy. Two local vibrational modes (LVMs) are observed at ...
